He and a friend had built a ski jump in their backyard and during their first run Donny broke one of the skis when he ran into the back fence. Wendy, his older sister, finds Donny and pries this information out of him. She promises to stand by Donny as he faces their father. The father's voice is heard offstage as he "discovers" his ski and the back fence. This sketch does not show how the father reacted when Donny confesses but instead demonstrates the fear, the excuses, the reactions many experience when they know they have done something wrong and need forgiveness. | | Performance Royalty: Nonroyalty | | |
