| 1 | If you're looking, I've got your script! Or I'll write it for you! | Hi! I'm Joe Lovitt! You may have seen my name on a couple of books published by Lillenas. You may have even produced something I've written if you're familiar with my books "Body Language" and the play "Return of the Christmas Kid."
Those books were published back in the mid-90s. Oh, I've still been writing -- constantly. Christ Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis keeps me quite busy. But since publishers have watched their profits drop as churches download scripts from the internet (I HOPE they're paying for them!) or just copying material from videos posted by other churches, there's no publishing market for church dramatists these days. Lillenas is the latest place to tell me this.
I'm sitting on a lot of material -- children's musicals, a book of teen scenes, five Christmas shows, themed worship scenes and videos -- that could serve your needs. I will also write custom scenes for the needs of your church. I have been doing this steadily for the last 30 years. I know what works and I have references who will be glad to back me up.
