To Harmonize or Not to Harmonize - That is the Question! |
 |
Harmony! The world should live in harmony. United we stand! We must live and work together in harmony helping and supporting one another. This idea also applies in music. Harmony in music is the ultimate of cooperation and unity. In experiencing harmony, we learn that music that is actually flowing in different directions can work together to form real beauty.
I am so pleased to share with you the news of United We Stand a new 16 minute patriotic experience for your children. This mini-musical shows the foundation of Jesus Christ upon which our country was built and how many of our patriotic songs came from godly roots. You will love the experience of singing several styles of music as well as feel your heart touched with patriotism with each song.
Another new product of the Lillenas children?s division is one which is totally centered on helping your children?s worship leader. On With The Beat is our new hands on movement and activity collection that provides 14 songs perfect for all ages to get out those wiggles with hands-on props to enhance their musical experience. Each song has a great spiritual lesson, which will be revealed in the resource kit. And if you are not great at actual movement, a video will be provided to help you expand into this world.
?How can I teach harmony??
Harmony occurs when children:
1. Play or say different rhythms at the same time.
2. Perform two separate movements at the same time.
3. Sing or play repeating ostinato patterns while others sing or play a song.
4. Sing a round.
5. Sing and are accompanied by an instrument.
6. Sing two different parts in the traditional way.
Living for Jesus!
