Rehearsal tracks are an excellent tool to help choir singers learn their parts for musicals. Each set contains four recording masters - one for each part (soprano, alto, tenor, bass). The entire choir and the accompaniment can be heard on each tape; however, one part (soprano, for instance) is dominant. There is a moderate charge to make copies for choir members which you report on the Rehearsal Agreement which comes with your order for Rehearsal Masters. This DVD accompaniment is very easy to use. DVD players work just like CD players. Plug in your DVD audio out (left and right) in to a sound system in the same way you would with your CD player. Then connect a video cable from your Video Out port of the DVD player to the video projector input port. From the main menu of the DVD choose from the three audio accompaniment options that are offered.- Split Track Accompaniment: This is the traditional split-track mix with the orchestral track on the left and the vocals (with no solos or narration) on the right.
- Click Track Accompaniment: This is a special split-track mix with the orchestral track on the left and the click-track on the right. If you are using a live orchestra, this feature will help the conductor synchronize the orchestra with the video. A two measure count (in tempo) has been provided before the down beat for thye conductor and the rhythm section. Send this click track signal through your sound system into the headphones of the conductor and rhythm players.
- Stereo Track Accompaniment: This feature will allow your choir to be accompanied by the orchestral instrumentation alone, mixed in full stereo.
After the playback option has been selected from the main menu, playback will pause, displaying a black screen. This allows the video to be displayed to the audience without displaying the menu to the audience. If playing from a DVD player, simply pressing 'play' or 'enter' will start the video. If playing the DVD from a computer, a mouse click on the screen or 'return' will start the video.
There is also a Full Mix Demonstration included. This demonstration track will provide your musicians and choir with a reference example for rehearsal. This version may also be used creatively as a worship element where live vocals are not available. I am looking for a particular song. How do I find it?
